Introduction
Work Mirror is a mirror and camera app for macOS. This policy explains how we handle your information.
Camera, microphone, and recording content stay on your Mac. There are no accounts. We use purchase data only to deliver and check your activation code.
Information We Use
- Free time — Convex stores how much free time remains and when it refreshes, keyed to a one-way digest of your Mac's hardware identifier.
- License — Convex stores your activation code, the email address you paid with, and the digest of the Mac the code is active on.
- Email — Resend delivers your activation code and any links you request to move it to another Mac.
- Billing — Stripe processes payment and billing information. Work Mirror does not receive or store your card number.
Product Analytics
We use PostHog to understand app use and improve Work Mirror. Events include permission choices, free-time use, purchase and activation activity, camera controls, recording actions, help, and updates. Events include app version, operating system and device type.
Analytics use a random identifier. We do not send your name, email, activation code, device name, billing details, file paths, video, or audio to PostHog. Session replay is disabled, IP addresses are anonymized, and location enrichment is disabled.
Local Device Use Only
The camera is used to show the mirror and Continuity Camera feed. Video stays on your device. The microphone is used only if you record video. The photo library is used only when you choose to save a recording.
Video and audio remain on your device unless you explicitly save or share them. We do not upload camera or recording data.
Services
Apple provides Continuity Camera. Convex provides free-time and license storage. Stripe provides checkout and billing. Resend delivers email. PostHog provides product analytics. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
The app does not use advertising analytics. We do not sell personal information or upload camera, microphone, or recording content.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will note the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
